The No. 3 SMOOTHING PLANE body is cast in Manganese Bronze with the Stanley 'bedrock' design frog. This bench plane is just a bit smaller than the No. 4 and is a serious small smoother, 8" long with a 1 3/4" x .125" thick blade. Weight in Bronze 4 lbs. Fitted with the New Improved Chipbreaker.
