The No. 5 1/2 JACK PLANE body is cast in Ductile Iron with the Stanley 'bedrock' design frog. This is a very versatile bench plane, a little longer and wider than the No. 5 at 14 3/4" long with a 2 3/8" x .140" thick blade. A real heavyweight at 7 lbs. but beautifully balanced, a real favourite with the professionals and serious amateurs. Fitted with the New Improved Chipbreaker.
